Quick Summary
The Department of the Navy, Naval Air Systems Command, has issued this Special Notice regarding the Undergraduate Jet Training System (UJTS) program. This notice serves as an update, announcing the release of the DRAFT Request for Proposal (RFP) under a new Notice ID, N00019-26-R-1014. The UJTS program aims to develop and procure new aircraft and ground-based training systems to replace the T-45, with a projected contract award in 2QFY27.
Program Overview
The UJTS program has two primary goals: Speed to Initial Operational Capability (IOC) and Quality of Training for USN and USMC aviators. The procurement will cover Engineering, Manufacturing, and Development (EMD) of the UJTS solution, as well as the Procurement of the first lot of Low-Rate Initial Production (LRIP) aircraft and limited quantities of ground-based training systems. The Government may award up to two contracts for EMD. Anticipated aircraft production includes LRIP 1 (7 a/c), LRIP 2 (12 a/c), LRIP 3 (20 a/c), and Full-Rate Production (FRP) of 25 a/c per year, totaling approximately 216 aircraft.
