  • Ensuring vehicles meet federal, state, and local regulations, safety, and comfort standards.
  • Employing courteous, professional personnel with valid driver's licenses, required certifications, at least one year of driving experience, and clean driving records. Personnel are subject to background investigations and TB testing.
  • Utilizing the VetRide Vendor Portal or VA-Approved Transportation Software for trip requests, status updates, and claims.
  • Maintaining a Quality Control Plan (QCP) and adhering to performance standards, including specific response times (30 minutes for unscheduled/non-HAMVAMC requests, +/- 15 minutes for scheduled pick-ups).
  • Transporting COVID-19 positive or similarly infected patients, following VA guidance on PPE and vehicle cleaning.
