Scope of Work
The contractor will provide a mobile CT scanner unit and associated services. Key requirements include:
- Mobile CT Scanner Unit: A 3-Dimensional Computed Tomography Scanner with a minimum of 64 slices, capable of 2D, 3D, and 4D imaging (specifically respiratory-gated acquisition for oncology applications). It must perform CT Localization, Respiratory Gating, Functional CT Exams, 3D Image Reconstruction, Tumor and Patient Specific Imaging, and Integrated Marking. An 80cm bore system with a treatment planning table is requested.
- Trailer: A 48-foot long, 8-foot wide, 13-foot high unit featuring an interior UV sterilizer, lead glass viewing window, console area for two technologists, and radiation shielding throughout the entire trailer. It must have a large entry door with a patient lift (2,000-pound capacity). The contractor must guarantee the trailer meets radiation shielding requirements per 10 CFR Part 20 and 10 CFR Part 36.
- Services: Comprehensive services including delivery, pickup, setup, installation, decommissioning, testing, training (clinical, biomedical, and therapeutic therapist), full-service maintenance, repairs, replacement parts, and 24/7 technical support.
- Training: On-site clinical training for OVAMC staff (one week for four Radiation Therapeutic Therapists) and biomedical training for at least one biomedical equipment support specialist.
- Site Requirements: The mobile CT trailer will be deployed on a cement pad. Plumbing tie-ins to the facility are required for restroom and sink connections, and additional building-integrated utilities are anticipated beyond the trailer's self-contained power.
