This solicitation is for the purchase and delivery of an Industrial Vacuum System to support a wind tunnel upgrade. Offerors must propose either Configuration A or B:
- Configuration A: One steel sphere vessel (2,400 cu ft), one vacuum pump, one pump exhaust silencer, and one vacuum booster.
- Configuration B: Two steel cylindrical vessels (total 2,400 cu ft), one vacuum pump, one pump exhaust silencer, and one vacuum booster.
Both configurations must meet specified pressure and temperature ratings, including withstanding 10 Torr to 350 psi and handling 100% air at 800 degrees Fahrenheit (without after-cooler). The objective evacuation time for the 2400 cubic feet chamber is 30-45 minutes, with a maximum threshold of 60 minutes, reaching a final pressure of 10 Torr. The winning bidder must supply the vacuum vessel. Pumps will pull atmospheric air, do not require water cooling, and must operate within 40-110 degrees Fahrenheit. Exhaust air must be cooled to <100 degrees Fahrenheit for outdoor location. Commercial manuals and a Certificate of Conformance (CoC) are required. Bidders are required to provide a sketch or drawing of the chambers with their proposal.
