Quick Summary
The Department of the Air Force, specifically AFLCMC EBGK COM, is soliciting proposals for Wing and Fin Sub-Assemblies. These critical sub-components are required to support the AIM-120X and CATM-120X series of the Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missile (AMRAAM). This is a Total Small Business Set-Aside opportunity, with the Government intending to award a single contract. Proposals are due June 1, 2026.
Scope of Work
The procurement covers the manufacturing and delivery of Wing and Fin Sub-Assemblies as detailed in Attachment 2 Statement of Work (SOW). The Government anticipates a First Article timeline of 6-12 months for production, followed by an additional 6-12 months for First Article Testing (FAT). Mass delivery is projected to occur in 2029, contingent upon successful FAT and product validation.

Key Clarifications & Notes
- Vendors are expected to absorb Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE) costs and distribute them within the delivered unit pricing. The Government does not possess digital models of the wings and fins.
- The Government will not provide training or best practices for brazing operations; delivered items must match drawings and specifications (MIL-B-7883 Type II, Class A).
- Partial bids, specifically for metal part manufacture without honeycomb brazing, are not acceptable. The Government requires the complete sub-assembly.
- Previously missing drawings (7038187, 7038184, 7038174, 7038173) from Drawing Set 4 have been updated and added to the notice.
- Drawings from Notice ID FA8556-25-R-B016 have also been incorporated into this notice. For any questions regarding drawings, contact Ivan Jones.
