  • Honeycomb Implementation

Key Updates & Notes

  • First Article Timeline: Production of two First Article units is estimated at 6-12 months, followed by 6-12 months for First Article Testing (FAT). Mass delivery is anticipated in 2029, contingent on successful FAT.
  • Drawings: The Government has clarified details on several drawings (Drawing Set 2, 4, 5) and updated Drawing 4 and Drawing 5 to include previously missing information. Drawings from Notice ID: FA8556-25-R-B016 have also been added to this notice.
  • Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE): Vendors are expected to bear NRE costs and distribute them within the delivered unit pricing. The Government does not possess digital models.
  • Brazing: MIL-B-7883 Type II (furnace Brazing) and Class A (Critical structure) specifications control. The Government will not provide training or best practices.
  • Partial Bids: Partial bids are not permitted; the Government requires the full sub-assembly.
  • Physical Samples: The Government will not provide spare wings and fins for scanning or reverse-engineering during the solicitation phase, emphasizing that drawings are the benchmark for evaluation.
