Scope of Work
The project aims to eliminate environmental hazards associated with three former sheep dip vat sites: Baca #1 SDV, Baca (New) SDV, and Haystack SDV. The scope includes comprehensive site assessments to identify and address toxaphene contamination in soil, removal of all remaining structures, excavation and proper disposal of contaminated soils, and final site restoration through backfilling with clean soil and reseeding with native plant species. Key Documents & Clarifications
Bidders must account for the U.S. Department of Labor Wage Determination (Service Contract Act) for McKinley County, NM, when calculating labor costs. Pre-work submittals require consultation with the Navajo Nation Historical Preservation Program and Fish and Wildlife departments, and bidders should review the provided clearance process documentation. Contractors are required to include estimates for both hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal. A single consolidated final report, clearly separating the three projects, will be sufficient. Site visits are at the contractor's expense.
