Quick Summary

The Department of the Air Force is soliciting proposals for a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) System to establish a fully automated, advanced equipment and weapons tracking system at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma. This is a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract. Proposals are due by April 17, 2026, at 3:00 PM CST.

Scope of Work

The required RFID system must be a fully automated, advanced equipment and weapons tracking solution utilizing CACs, PINs, IUID tags, and 2D bar-coding for inventory, tracking, accounting, maintenance, issuing, and receiving of critical and non-critical armory property.

Key components and functionalities include:

  • Hardware: 1D/2D/IUID/RFID reader, RFID handheld device (MC 3190Z or equal), Dell Venue 11 Tablet, docking station, AV Cart, CAC reader, touch screen, UPS Back Up, antennas, router TLSG1008, scanner charging base with extra battery. The system also requires a standalone computer, 4 RFID mobile devices, 2 RFID readers, 1 RFID HUB, and 2 barcode printers. All hardware must meet DOD mandates and be warranted for 5 years (3 years for RFID equipment/barcode printers).
  • Software: Perpetual one-time purchase licenses with lifetime support. No custom software development is permitted; the system must use tightly integrated hardware and software modules with specified SDKs and APIs.
  • RFID Tags: Durable, rugged, 5mm x 5mm x 3mm (unless specific equipment requires different sizing), compatible with the system, and capable of fitting on all assets (firearms, accessories, non-lethal weapons, magazines) without impeding function. Support for 1D/2D/IUID/Passive/Active RFID tags is required.
  • System Capabilities: Inventory, track, trace, account, maintain, issue, and receive equipment. Ability to add/remove tags, track additional inventory items (less than lethal weapons, radios, cameras), notify armorers of unreturned items, assist in finding lost tools, and conduct tool crib inventory of 5000 items in under 5 minutes. It must support mobile inventory operations, provide item data (shelf life, maintenance dates), and include business rules for R&D/T&E operations.
  • Installation & Support: Contractor shall provide all necessary equipment, software, hardware, tools, installation, and support.
