Scope of Work
The contractor shall provide all plant, labor, material, design, and supervision necessary for the delivery of GCA. The GCA must conform to UFGS 32.11.23 and AASHTO #57 specifications, and will support Type A traffic for C-17 operations on Taxiway Hotel and Modified Heavy Aircraft on the C-17 Assault strip. Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering GCA in pre-coordinated intervals to Avon Park, FL.
- Performing field and laboratory quality control testing every 2,500 tons, including gradation, liquid limit, plasticity index, moisture density, wear, and flat/elongated pieces.
- Maintaining stockpile areas to prevent segregation and contamination.
- Submitting two GCA design mix approvals within 15 days of contract award.
- Submitting a comprehensive Safety Plan for review and approval.
- Ensuring site cleanup of debris and spills.
