Scope of Work
The contractor shall provide all plant, labor, material, design, and supervision necessary to deliver a base quantity of 16,410 tons of GCA. This GCA will be used for the construction of Taxiway Hotel and the C-17 Assault strip. The government holds an option to purchase up to an additional 1,000 tons of GCA. All deliveries will be made to Avon Park Air Force Range (ZIP - 33825).
Key requirements include:
- GCA must conform to UFGS 32.11.23 and AASHTO #57 specifications.
- Field and laboratory quality control testing is required, including tests every 2,500 tons for gradation, liquid limit, plasticity index, moisture density, wear, and flat/elongated pieces.
- Contractor is responsible for maintaining the stockpile area and daily site cleanup.
- Delivery for the base item (16,410 tons) is on or before July 3, 2026.
- Delivery for the option item (1,000 tons) is within 15 calendar days of the option being exercised.
- Recycled concrete aggregate (RCA) may be used if it meets specific material and gradation requirements.
- Minimum daily delivery is 1,500 units, maximum is 3,500 units.
