- Underwater Hull and Freeboard Repair and Preservation: Cleaning voids, repairing approximately 15,000 SF of hull, boottop, and freeboard, fender repair/reinstallation, shell plate repair, welding, grinding, and testing.
- Tank Maintenance: Cleaning Cargo Oil and Fuel Tanks, conducting Level I and II Inspections.
- Structural and System Upgrades: Cathodic protection, various SHIPALT upgrades (e.g., BITT, Brow, WEA DK Floodlight Installation, Deck House Preservation, Manhole/Access/Flood Alarm System, Electrical Modification), and Knuckle Crane Installation.
- Docking/Hauling Out: Hoisting, setting on blocks/marine railway, providing access, and grounding.
- Temporary Services: Provision of temporary fire reporting, head, and pier shack. The overall availability period is anticipated from September 30, 2026, to February 12, 2027, with the full period of performance from September 28, 2026, to April 30, 2027.
Contract Details
- Contract Type: Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) job order under a Master Agreement for Repair and Alteration of Vessels (MARV).
- Eligibility: Restricted to firms possessing a current U.S. Navy Master Ship Repair Agreement (MSRA) or Agreement for Boat Repair (ABR) in the Japan Region. Non-MSRA/ABR holders can request application packages. Contractors outside Japan must comply with DFARS 252.225-7042.
