Scope of Work
This solicitation covers comprehensive repair, alteration, and maintenance services for the YON-285 Barge. The anticipated scope includes, but is not limited to, eleven Industrial Control Numbers (ICNs) detailed in the specifications. Key work items identified across various documents include:
- Underwater Hull and Freeboard Repair and Preservation: Cleaning, shell plate repair, welding, and preservation in dry-berthing.
- Tank Cleaning: Cleaning of eight Cargo Oil Tanks and one Fuel Oil Tank, including scaffolding and waste disposal.
- Cathodic Protection: Installation of new cathodic protection and removal of existing zinc anode assemblies.
- SHIPALT Upgrades: Modifications such as Bitt Upgrade, Lifeline and Liferail System Installation, Brow Installation, Weather Deck Floodlight Installation, Nonskid Deck Covering, and Modifications of Manhole, Access, and Flood Alarm System.
- Knuckle Crane Installation: Hull, mechanical, electrical, and piping work for crane installation, including load testing.
- Docking/Hauling Out: Transferring the barge to/from Sasebo Bay, hoisting onto blocks or marine railway, and providing access.
- Temporary Facilities: Provision and maintenance of a temporary pier shack, temporary heads (portable toilets), and washbasins.
The overall availability period is approximately September 28, 2026, to April 30, 2027, with a production completion date of February 2, 2027.
