Quick Summary

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), specifically the VA Northern California Health System, is soliciting proposals for the renovation, expansion, and modernization of its operating room (OR) area in Building 700 at Mather, CA. This project, valued between $10,000,000 and $20,000,000, aims to create a state-of-the-art surgical environment, including a new Hybrid OR suite. This acquisition is a 100% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. Proposals are due by February 5, 2026, at 10:00 AM Pacific Time.

Scope of Work

The project entails comprehensive renovation and upgrade of four existing ORs, with an expansion to include a fifth OR configured as a Hybrid OR suite. Key objectives include optimizing workflow, ensuring operational efficiency, and addressing existing deficiencies in critical systems. The scope also covers phased construction to minimize disruption, installation and integration of temporary OR trailers, and the incorporation of specific brand-name or equal items such as Fortress stainless steel wall systems, SLD Technology Modular Ceiling Systems, Johnson Controls programming, Secutron Fire Alarm System, HID PIV Card Reader System, and relocation of a Swiss Log Pneumatic Tube system.

Contract Details

This is a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract with a Period of Performance of 500 calendar days. Bidders are required to provide bid, payment, and performance bonds.
