Scope of Work
This project entails the renovation, expansion, and modernization of approximately 12,500 square feet of the existing OR area on the second floor of Building 700. Key aspects include:
- Renovating and upgrading four existing ORs.
- Expanding to include a fifth OR configured as a Hybrid OR suite.
- Optimizing workflow and operational efficiency.
- Addressing existing deficiencies in critical systems (architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, low-voltage).
- Providing and integrating temporary OR trailers as interim surgical facilities during phased construction. The General Contractor (GC) is responsible for delivery, setup, connections, commissioning, testing, and certification of these trailers.
- Compliance with VHA Master Specifications, VA Design Guides, and industry standards.
- Installation of specific brand-name-or-equal items (e.g., Fortress, SLD, Johnson Controls, Secutron, HID).
Contract Details
- Contract Type: Firm Fixed Price (FFP).
- Estimated Magnitude: Between $10,000,000.00 and $20,000,000.00.
- Period of Performance: 500 calendar days, with a minimum two-year warranty required for all materials, equipment, and installation.
- Bonds: Bid, payment, and performance bonds are required.
