Scope of Work

The contractor will remove approximately 2000 square feet of existing resilient tile squares and carpet tiles, replacing them with 25mm commercial-grade Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) 20mil flooring. This includes the installation of a 6" cove base and transitional thresholds for 7 single doors and 1 double door entry. Key tasks involve:

  • Pre-Work: Site inspection, material selection (LVP color/design, cove base), material submittals for flooring and adhesive, furniture moving, and protection of non-work areas.
  • Removal: Disposal of existing resilient tile and carpet tiles, with abatement methods to protect non-work areas.
  • Subfloor Preparation: Inspection, reporting issues, cleaning, patching, and sanding to ensure a smooth and level surface.
  • Installation: Installation of LVP flooring per manufacturer specifications, ensuring seamless flow and using recommended adhesive.
  • Finishing: Installation of 6" cove base and transitional thresholds (LVP to travertine tile, LVP to concrete/tile).
