Scope of Work
The contractor will be responsible for:
- Disassembly and removal of the existing bale press.
- Delivery and installation of a new full-eject bale press system, including a steady flow breaker, automated conveyor, bale bagging, and heavy-duty bracing system.
- Providing a minimum one-year full-service warranty covering parts, labor, and supplies.
- Providing start-up and training for USDA personnel within two weeks of notice.
The new system must achieve a throughput of 3,000 pounds per hour. Key specifications include a full-eject bale press (54"x24" box, 36" bale thickness, min 480 lbs) utilizing six 10'3" steel ties (mandatory, no plastic or other materials), 460V 3-phase electrical input, and PLC-controlled automation. The automated conveyor system must have bale weighing capabilities at a height of 28". An optional scissor lift-tilt table, capable of lifting to 28" and tilting to 90 degrees for bales up to 500 pounds, requires a technical approach submission.

- Completed Attachment 3 - Vendor Quotation Form, providing pricing for both scenarios (with and without the optional scissor lift-tilt table).

- Completed Attachment 5 - Provision FAR 52.225-18 Place of Manufacture.
