Scope of Work
This project requires comprehensive airfield maintenance services, primarily focusing on:
- Rubber Removal: Removing rubber from runways 30 and 12 (approximately 420,000 sq ft), including removal and replacement of aircraft arresting cables as needed.
- Marking Replacement & Addition: Repainting taxiway edge and centerline markings on the Live Ordnance Load Area (LOLA) C, and other identified locations on taxiways, parking aprons, and flightline roads, in accordance with UFC 3-260-04. This includes new instrument control and wing tip clearance lines, and specific instructions for relocating apron edge markings, modifying towway lines, painting row numbers on taxilane entrances (all 23 rows on both sides of the parking apron), and adding INST Hold Lines.
- Crack Maintenance: Maintaining cracks and sealant on the airfield shoulder on LOLA C, using specified materials and methods for cracks ranging from 1/4" to 4" in width, including herbicide application prior to sealing.
- Pavement Repair: Cleaning and resealing pavement joints and cracks on the taxiway and shoulder in LOLA C.
- Optional Services: The solicitation includes optional line items for additional edge markings, crack cleaning and sealing, and removal/restriping of apron edge lines and tow-only lines.
All markings must be retro-reflective, with black outlines on PCC portions of the runway, and require Type II reflective beads. Work on the airfield must be coordinated at least seven workdays in advance with the Airfield Manager and Project Manager, often during non-flying hours.
