Quick Summary
The Department of the Army's ACC-DTA has issued a Commercial Solutions Opening (CSO) for Ground Maneuver under DFARS Subpart 212-70. This initiative seeks innovative commercial technologies to modernize the Army's Organic Industrial Base, enhance defense manufacturing, and improve ground vehicle systems capabilities. The CSO utilizes a streamlined acquisition process for rapid award decisions, with awards structured as fixed-price or fixed-price incentive fee contracts, or non-FAR agreements. The CSO is open for proposals through January 9, 2029, with potential for extension.
Scope of Opportunity
ACC-DTA is looking for solutions that enhance the development, integration, demonstration, and sustainment of ground vehicle systems. This includes commercially available technologies, those fueled by commercial or strategic investment, concept demonstrations, pilots, and agile development activities. Solutions should incrementally improve commercial technologies, existing government-owned capabilities, or concepts for broad defense application. White Papers/Proposed Solutions may be shared with other Federal Agencies.
Contract & Timeline
Awards may be structured as FAR contracts (Part 12), transaction agreements (10 U.S.C 4022), or Cooperative Agreements (31 U.S.C. 6305). The period of performance for solutions is generally no greater than 12 months, unless specified otherwise in an AoI. The overall CSO remains open until January 9, 2029.
