Scope of Work
The project involves the comprehensive cleaning of fifty (50) HVAC Air Handling Units (AHUs) in Building NH100 and four (4) Roof Top Units (RTUs) at Buildings 120/121. Key tasks include:
- Internal cleaning of AHUs/RTUs, including fans, dampers, coils, filter frames, motors, and condensate drain pans.
- Cleaning of outdoor air ductwork and drain piping.
- Removal, cleaning, and re-installation of supply fan impellers with new bearings and system balancing.
- Specific repairs such as cleaning corroded inlet cones on Building 120/121 RTUs, repairing a leaking chilled water line on Building 121 RTU-2, and addressing bent coil fins on specific NH100 AHUs.
- Replacement of air filters. The facility will remain operational throughout the 180-day performance period, requiring minimal interference from contractor operations.
Performance Standards & Requirements
Contractors must adhere to stringent standards, including:
- Submission of a Draft Project Work Plan within 10 days and a Site-specific Safety and Health Plan (SSHP/HASP) within 30 days of award.
- Weekly In-Progress Review (IPR) meetings.
- Use of NADCA-approved cleaning methods and EPA-registered disinfectants.
- Strict adherence to Lockout/Tagout procedures and proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Compliance with the Contractor Environmental Guide for MCB Camp Lejeune, covering hazardous materials, waste management, and environmental protection.
- Submission of various quality assurance documents, including cleaning logs, airflow test results, and a final Completion Report.
- One person may fulfill the roles of Superintendent, Quality Control Manager, and Safety and Health Officer if qualified.
